About the Role

15 cubic truck driver job description involves safely operating a medium-duty truck to transport goods, which includes pre-trip vehicle checks, loading and securing cargo, planning routes, and adhering to traffic and safety regulations The role also requires performing basic maintenance, completing delivery documents and logs, and communicating with dispatch

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely driving a medium-rigid truck (with a GVM > 4.5 tonnes), including loading, unloading.
  • Performing regular checks on the vehicle, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, and oil levels, to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Safely loading goods, ensuring they are properly distributed and restrained according to load limitations and regulations.
  • Planning efficient and safe routes for deliveries.
  • Completing and maintaining necessary paperwork, including delivery dockets, logbooks, and maintenance records.
  • Adhering to all road safety laws, OH&S guidelines, and company policies.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks like refueling and checking fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Communicating with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding deliveries and any issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Class 6 Driver's license.
  • Minumum 5 years experience.
  • Trade Certificate or Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship or associate Degree is desirable.
  • Prior experience in given role and construction industry is highly valued.

Physical health is paramount for this role, as you will often be required to work in demanding environments and schedules.
